1. OBJECT OF THE GAME: Carom is played with three (3) object balls, numbered one through three, and a cue ball. Players score points by hitting 2 or 3 object balls. The first player to reach exactly 100 points wins.

2. RACKING THE BALLS The object balls are racked in a diamond shape, with the one ball at the top of the diamond and on the foot spot. Our internet version provides the same equally tight and best rack for all players. The game begins with cue ball in hand behind the head string.

3. SCORING The player accepting the challenge shoots first. 1 point is given for contacting 2 object balls and 10 points are given for contacting all 3 object balls. If the rail is contacted prior to any object balls, points are doubled. Points accumulate until the player loses his/her turn.

4. LOSS OF TURN A player loses his/her turn when he/she contacts only one ball, no balls, or scores over 100 points. When a player hits only 1 ball, all points accumulated are add to his/her score. When a player contacts no balls, all accumulated points are forfeited. When a player scores over 100 points, the accumulated points are subtracted from the players score.

5. END OF GAME The game is over when one player reaches exactly 100 points.
